I was in Belk the other day and saw Godiva candles. I am not kidding. Fragrances like black truffle, raspberry ganache, white chocolate, and holiday peppermint. At first I was pretty excited. Then I smelled them. Not so good.
I mean they really did smell like chocolate, but I really don't want to burn chocolate candles. Christmas tree candles - yes. Harvest spice candles - yes. Even raspberry candles. But these are strong, too sweet. It will be interesting to see if they sell.
I think maybe Godiva should stick to making things you can eat.
If anybody burns one of these, let me know. If you burn one, and then want to eat a truckload of chocolate, let me know.
